Louise Glasser Named 2019 Luncheon Honoree

Each year we select an extraordinary woman to honor at our annual luncheon that brings more than 1,000 people together to celebrate. This year, on April 24, 2019, we will be celebrating Louise Glasser.

The Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona is honored to recognize Louise Glasser for her commitment to improve and enrich the lives of women and their families.

Louise appreciates WFSA’s work to strategically highlight and remove roadblocks that stand in the way of success for women and girls. She served two terms on the WFSA board and is now a member of our Advisory Council. During her board service, Louise helped ensure that WFSA met a $1 million challenge grant well ahead of schedule.

Giving back is a Glasser family affair. Louise’s parents were charitable, and she and her husband Jim have shared their philanthropic passion and values with two daughters, a son, and eight grandchildren. Organizations they have supported with time and financial gifts in Chicago and Tucson over the years are numerous—nonprofits that serve women and their children, preserve our environment, and promote the arts. The appeal of philanthropy to Louise is to improve and enrich the lives of others in as many ways as possible.

Our Annual Luncheon is more than a celebration of Louise’s life and work – it is also the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser. Please join us in making a gift in honor of Louise (noting “in honor of Louise Glasser” on your gift.) – donate here.

Save the date for Wednesday, April 24, 2019 and plan to join us as we celebrate Louise at our 2019 Annual Luncheon at the Tucson Convention Center. Ticket and table reservations go on sale in February – watch for your invitation!
