Family, philanthropy and travel are important to Len and Doris Coris. They have two daughters who live in San Francisco and New York with their families. Since their arrival in Tucson in 1997, Len, a personal financial planner and wealth manager, and Doris, a retired French teacher, have been actively involved with local non-profits in both the social services and the arts.
Their interests include WFSA, Tucson Medical Center Foundation, various programs at University of Arizona College of Fine Arts and College of Science, Reading Seed, Youth on Their Own, Jewish Family and Children’s Service, and Arizona Theater Company.
Because they care deeply about women’s issues, Doris and Len decided to raise the expectations of the staff, board and donors at the 2013 and 2014 Women’s Foundation annual luncheons through $25,000 matching gifts. “We hope that a new benchmark has been set for future years,” says Len with a smile.
