Ann Lovell believes it is imperative that more women to step up and bring their best to every “table,” from raising healthy children to leading thriving countries. “Men and women have different skills,” she says, “and we need all of those skills to tackle the complexity of the global problems we face as individuals and as a global community.”
Ann established the first donor-advised fund at WFSA. Her global and national work is informing her work here in Southern Arizona, and through the new fund, she is supporting women’s leadership development and financial sustainability for women.
Ann has actively supported WFSA for many years. She and her mother Lura Lovell were honored in 2008, in part for supporting Unidas through their family foundation, the Lovell Foundation.Ann knows the challenges of being a single, working parent of six children. She is a CPA, continues to work, serves on the board of her family foundation, and manages the Valley Foundation, which provides college scholarships to high school students in Southern Arizona. She serves on the Women’s Leadership Board for Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and is Vice President for Women Moving Millions.
