I was born and raised here in Tucson. I have four children who I love more than anything—a 14-year-old, a 12-year-old daughter and two 3-year-old toddlers. I received my GED diploma and retail sales vocational certificate at Fred G. Acosta Job Corps in 2000, and my Medical Assistant diploma at Brookline College in 2010. I have a certificate of completion from The Mama Project and participate in a health equity redesign with Pima County Health Department’s HER2 Project as a volunteer. I also have a certificate with NAMI—National Alliance on Mental Illness—and to highlight the stigmas people face, I speak to middle and high school students about mental illness. My aspirations are to stay actively involved in helping others and be an example for my children. I enjoy drawing, writing, reading and coloring mandala coloring books.
