Deborah Daun is a Marketing/PR professional with a passion for supporting mission-driven nonprofits. She’s run a small business since 1994, taking a 4-year hiatus from 2006-2010 to serve as Communications Director for a University of Arizona science institute. As principal of Deborah Daun Communications, LLC, Deborah supports a variety of local nonprofit clients with heart-opening and data-driven strategies and stories that engage and mobilize donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Her affiliation with the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona is a long one. She worked with the WFSA founders when she was employed by the Melody S. Robidoux Foundation and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. When she started her business, WFSA engaged Deborah for 10 years to develop the program and staging for Foundation’s annual luncheon. In 2010, Deborah was invited to join WFSA’s Board of Trustees. During two terms as a Trustee, she chaired the Marketing Committee and the Trusteeship Committee, and was a member of the CEO Search Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. Deborah currently serves on the WFSA Advisory Council. Other recent volunteer contributions include mentoring Social Venture Partner’s Fast Pitch participants.
