Jenny Flynn

Development Committee Chair

Jenny Flynn is the senior vice president for development services at the University of Arizona Foundation, she leads four central service units of the University Development Program (UDP): Information Technology, Strategic Information Services, Foundation Relations and the GIFT Center, and HR and Talent Management. Jenny has been a fundraising professional for 16 years, with previous experience as a teacher, editor, and even a park ranger. In 2007 she founded the GIFT Center, a fundraising resource center for faculty and staff, to support efforts for charitable grantseeking. In 2015, Jenny was promoted to run the new development services department. At that time she and a small group of colleagues were charged with designing a transformation plan for the University of Arizona’s development program (the UDP). The UDP is in its second year and is working towards the goal of doubling fundraising by 2024, with a deliberate focus on creating a positive organizational team culture and growing talent. Additionally, Jenny is the project sponsor and leads the change management effort for a fundraising system conversion from Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge to a new Lynx system, a two-year project focusing on streamlining systems across a decentralized campus.

Jenny has served on WFSA’s Development Committee since 2015, providing strategic insight into fundraising priorities and practices.
