  • Unidas 2007 - Tucson
The Tucson Unidas program awarded $15,000 to three nonprofit organizations. The three organizations, the Center for the Prevention and Resolution of Violence, a program of the Hopi Foundation, Las Familias Center for Treatment of Childhood Sexual Abuse, a program of Arizona’s Children Association and Sin Puertas, a program of Pima Prevention Partnership were each awarded $5,000. Thanks to Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall for providing an additional $5,000 in RICO funds for grantmaking. The dollar amount of the requests received was more than ten times the amount available to distribute - a dramatic illustration of the unmet mental health needs of women and girls in Tucson.
