Female
Faces of Philanthropy:
Susan Dubow

As
a Senior Investment Management Consultant at Smith Barney, Susan Dubow knows
the value of financial planning. As a former Women's Foundation of Southern
Arizona Board Chair, she also knows the value of philanthropic giving.
Susan came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, where she earned
a degree in architecture. Her study of architecture gave her experience in "client
interaction and problem solving," skills that proved invaluable when she
became a financial consultant in 1983. "I help people determine their financial
objectives, and then work with them to find the best investments available to
achieve those goals," Susan explains.
She views giving to the Women's Foundation as a way to maximize her philanthropic
investment. "Through WFSA's rigorous grant process, I know my gift will
be used to fund quality, innovative programs that make a meaningful difference
for women and girls in southern Arizona."
In addition to the WFSA board, Susan has served on the boards of the Primavera
Foundation, Comstock Children's Foundation, Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona,
Jewish Community Center and the Arizona Opera League.
Susan believes in "balancing my professional and community endeavors with
a personal commitment to health, home and creativity. Bicycling and trail running,
home renovation and interior design, jewelry design and gourmet cooking all
bring expression and fulfillment to my personal life."
