Female
Faces of Philanthropy:
Marjory Slavin

Marjory
Slavin heard the call to community service when she was a child. Her first volunteer
job was collecting "tzedakah" in religious school. Her path was set
and her career as createive philanthropist and activist has been exceptional.
Whether it was a unique press project in Chicago, an unequaled arts event and
fundrasier for the University of Arizona Fine Arts Department, launching a pilot
project for Jewish cultural awareness now being copied nation-wide, or bringing
her incredible talent to the Southern Arizona Women's Fund grants program, Marjory
has given 150%.
It
is easy to celebrate a lifetime of her achievements, though no page can hold
her talents. It is difficult to capture in words the essence of her vitality,
competence and wit. It is not difficult to understand that she is the
pride of her husband, Louis, and their three wonderful children, and the entire
Tucson community. She is, in a word, "STELLAR."
