Faces of Philanthropy:
Janet Grace

Janet Grace has been a community volunteer and activist since first grade, when she helped organize a paper drive at her elementary school during World War II – and she hasn’t stopped since! As a teen, she volunteered at a day camp, and her local public library. Throughout her adult life, she has served on numerous boards and commissions, often with organizations that serve the needs of women and children. She has been involved with the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona since its inception, and is now a member of its Advisory Council. She currently serves on WFSA’s grants allocation committee, where her keen eye for the bottom line ensures that grant funds are spent wisely and carefully.
Janet focuses her giving on the causes about which she is most passionate – social justice, equality and choice for women, health and welfare, and chamber music and the theatre. She is as generous with her finances as she is with her time, and says, “I love to give money away!” In addition to supporting numerous community organizations, Janet has also funded camp scholarships and tutoring for individual children.
Supporting the Women’s Foundation allows Janet to channel her personal and financial resources to numerous organizations that reflect her passion and concern for women’s issues. WFSA is fortunate to count this advocate for women as one of our faces of philanthropy!
