How Much is Enough in Your County?
The Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona will release a new report entitled The Self-Sufficiency Standard for Arizona 2012, which describes, by county, how much income Arizona families of various sizes and compositions need to make ends meet without public or private assistance. The report will be very helpful in understanding what it really takes to be economically self-sufficient as a very basic level.
You are invited to a Community Briefing with Diane Pearce, Ph.D. from Center for Women’s Welfare at the University of Washington on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Pima County Housing Center, 801 W. Congress (adjacent to El Rio Health Center). Dr. Pearce developed the self-sufficiency standard and has produced similar reports in more than 35 states.
Questions: Georgia Schwartz, 520-622-8886 or gschwartz@womengiving.org
Watch Dr. Pearce quickly explain the self-sufficiency standard:
